License-free hire boat „Lea“ on the Weser

With us, you can hire a licence-free boat and set off directly on the Weser after a short briefing.

The trip to is particularly popular Nienburg/Weser. There you have your own private jetty – ideal for a stroll through the old town, a visit to the weekly market or a break in one of the cafés.

Our licence-free boat „Lea“ is suitable for day trips, first-time boating experiences and relaxed tours on the Middle Weser. With Lea, you have around 25 kilometres of the Middle Weser for your trip – between the Landesbergen and Drakenburg weirs.

  • Deposit: €250 in cash
  • Comprehensive motor insurance excess: 250 €

A pre-departure briefing is included. No powerboat licence is required for „Lea“.

Before departure, you will get a short briefing on the boat and the most important rules on the Weser.

After that, you can get started right away.

For the loan you need no recreational boat licence.

For security, you lodge a Cash deposit of €250. The boat is fully comprehensive insured, the excess is also 250 €.

Where can you travel with „Lea“?

From Mehlbergen Marina you can discover the Middle Weser very peacefully from the water. The only boundaries are the Drakenburg lock and Landesbergen lock. You have roughly 20 km of open sailing on the Weser.

A popular destination is Nienburg/Weser or the WSW Drakenburg. In Nienburg you can moor at your own jetty and walk from there into the old town, to the weekly market or to one of the cafés.

Those who prefer simply to stay on the water can explore the Weser at a leisurely pace and enjoy the landscape from a boat.
